Coast Guard: Typhoon Henry strands 233 people in Cebu


More than 200 people were stranded in the Visayas Sunday due to bad weather conditions brought by Typhoon Henry (Matmo).

The Philippine Coast Guard said 233 passengers were stranded at the Port of Cebu as of 8 a.m.

"As of  8 AM today approximately 233 passengers and 3 vessels are stranded in Port of Cebu due to #HenryPH," it said.

Earlier, two flights between Manila and Bicol were canceled due to bad weather.
