20 women rescued in police raids on Bulacan bars


At least 20 women, some of them suspected to be minors, were rescued in raids on 13 bars in Pulilian town in Bulacan province Monday night.
 
Police acting on tips that minors were working in the establishments entered the bars in Barangay Santo Cristo past 11 p.m., GMA News' Hadji Rieta reported on GMA News' Saksi.
 
The television report said aome of the bars were found to work without the needed business permits, while others had no sanitary permit.
 

Some of the women had no health permit, the same report added.
 
The rescued women declined to comment. They were to be brought to the local health office.
