5 suspected drug dealers arrested in La Union


Five suspected drug dealers were arrested in La Union province during a joint operation of the Philippine Coast Guard, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency, and Philippine National Police last Tuesday.

The Coast Guard on Friday said the composite team served arrest warrants on the suspected drug dealers in Barangay San Nicolas in West Agoo, La Union.

It said those arrested included:

- Salvador Ramos, whose house yielded six sachets of methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) as detected by a Coast Guard K-9 unit "Titan" in a wooden cabinet.

- Felix Quero, whose house yielded nine sachets of shabu and one unlicensed firearm with ammunition.

- Marianito Albelda, whose house yielded six sachets of shabu.

- John Prince Queso Vasay, whose house yielded six sachets of shabu.

- Feliciano Ramos, whose house yielded three sachets of shabu.

All five suspects and the seized drugs were turned over to the PDEA Region 1 Office and PNP Region 1. — Joel Locsin/LBG, GMA News
