Six injured in movie house ceiling collapse at Ayala Center in Cebu City

At least six people were injured when the ceiling of Cinema 5 of the Ayala Center in Cebu collapsed Monday evening, GMA News' late evening newscast, "Saksi" reported.

 

Mobile phone video sent to GMA News' @YouScoop showed large sections of the movie theater's ceiling gradually giving way as water gushed. Parts of the ceiling fell on some seats and people in the theater.

Damage to the theater is apparently massive, according to a photo sent out via Twitter by @EarlCaves.

The Saksi report said about 300 people were in the theater for a corporate event and that the mall's management is in the process of gathering details about the incident. — ELR, GMA News
