Police kill 2 drug suspects in Quezon province

Police on Saturday night killed two suspected drug pushers and arrested another in an alleged encounter during a buy-bust operation in Lucena City.

Police identified the slain suspects as Jay-r Valera and Willy Labi, both residents of Lucban, Quezon.

Arrested was Emmanuel Libiran Castro, a resident of Lucena City.

The Quezon Provincial Police Office said a police poseur-buyer was transacting with the suspects when they sensed that it was a buy-bust.

It said the suspects fired at policemen as they attempted to escape. The policemen fired back, killing the two suspects.

The provincial police said its operatives seized three .45 pistols and six grams of suspected shabu from the suspects. —Peewee Bacuño/ALG, GMA News
