Jolina causes Magat dam overflow, swamps Isabela bridges

Heavy rain from Tropical Storm Jolina on Saturday caused an overflow at the Magat Dam and submerged several bridges in Isabela.

Cauayan City's Alicaocao Bridge was still impassable on Sunday, according to a report on GMA News TV's "News TV Live".

Meanwhile, water from the Magat Dam in the town of Ramon caused several rivers in Isabela to swell.

The overflow also submerged bridges and caused flooding in several low-lying areas in the province.

On Saturday, PAGASA's Hydrometeorology Division advised residents who live along the Magat River to remain in evacuation centers. — Margaret Claire Layug/DVM/KG/KVD, GMA News
