Training plane crash-lands in Bulacan farm; pilot, student unhurt

A training aircraft crash-landed in an open field on Wednesday in Pulilan, Bulacan, after it suffered engine problems, according to a report by GMA News' stringer Rommel Ramos on Balita Pilipinas.

The report said student pilot Noah Bautista and his flight instructor Captain Arnold Romero were unhurt in the incident.

Police said the plane experienced engine problems mid-flight after taking off from Plaridel Airport.

The pilot was able to make the landing in the clearing of a private farm, away from the residential area.

The pilot reportedly brought the plane to a stop by crashing it into a tree.

One of the plane's wings was separated from the rest of the debris, the report said.

Ramos and Bautista were rushed to a medical center for assessment but were reportedly allowed to leave soon after. —Margaret Claire Tayug/KBK, GMA News
