2 Abu Sayyaf members surrender to Philippine Army in Basilan


Two members of the Abu Sayyaf Group voluntarily surrendered to the Philippine Army in Basilan on Sunday.

According to a report by GMA News correspondent Peewee Bacuño, the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Basilan announced that the two individuals submitted themselves to the 74th Infantry Battalion of the Philippine Army in Barangay Macalang in Al-Barka, Basilan about 9:00 a.m. on Sunday.

One was a 38-year-old resident of Barangay Baguindan in the municipality of Tipo-Tipo, while the other was a 22-year-old resident of Barangay Danapah in Al-Barka.
