Davao City Hall fails fire safety inspection

Fire protection authorities have found several violations of fire safety regulations when they inspected the Davao City Hall, a report on 24 Oras said on Friday.

According to the commander of Davao City F. Bangoy Fire Station, the building has no fire exit signs, smoke alarms and fire extinguishers.

Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Caprio, meanwhile, admitted that the City Hall does not comply with safety requirements for fire but said they are already looking into it.

She also said they are now calculating how much it will cost them to comply with the fire safety standards.

Establishments have 15 days after inspection to comply with fire safety regulations. —KBK, GMA News
