Pregnant mother accuses 4 Bulacan cops of gang rape

A 29-year-old pregnant mother has accused four Bulacan policemen of raping and performing lewd acts on her in front of her two-year-old child.

According to Dolores (not her real name), she was collecting payment for "5-6" loans inside a house in Barangay Bangkal in Meycauayan town when the policemen, who were conducting an anti-drug operation, barged in.

"Alam ko pulis kasi may baril," Dolores told GMA News in an exclusive interview.

"Pinaalis lahat ng tao sa bahay. Kami lang ng anak ko ang pinaiwan sa kuwarto," she added.

Dolores said she heard one policeman say, "Puwede na ito."

The victim said she did not fight back because the policeman threatened to rape her daughter.

"Sabi niya, 'Ano gusto mo, 'yung anak mo o ikaw?' Sabi niya. Tapos tinry niya po hubarin 'yung Pampers ng anak ko tapos nahubad na niya, naawat ko siya. Sabi ko, 'Huwag naman, sir, maawa kayo sa anak ko'," an emotional Dolores recalled.

She said she was forced to perform oral sex on the policeman with her child nearby. She said the policeman was in the act of raping her when another policeman entered the room.

"May isang pulis na pumasok. Sabing ganun, 'Pare, ano yan?' Sabing ganun. Sabi niya, 'Ulam 'to, pare. Gusto ko lang magmerienda. Ikaw baka gusto mo?'" Dolores said.

According to Dolores, the second policeman did the same before he was interrupted by a third policeman. She said the third policeman, as well as a fourth one who arrived later, masturbated in front of her and her child.

"Gusto ko nga po mamatay na lang sila kasi kung matatanggal lang sa position baka ulitin lang nila sa iba," Dolores, who was seven weeks pregnant at that time, said of the suspects.

"Tapos itong Saturday nagpa-ultrasound ulit ako, kasi masakit ganito ko, wala nang ma-detect na bata," she said.

GMA News accompanied Dolores to the office of Bulacan Provincial Police Director Senior Superintendnet Romeo Caramat, Jr., who ordered the policemen who took part in the anti-illegal drug operation to report to his office.

Four policemen were presented before Dolores, three of them she positively identified, namely PO2 Jefferson Landrito, P01 Marlo delos Santos, and PO1
Jeremy Aquino. The fourth suspect has yet to be identified.

The policemen denied raping Dolores.

"Basta malinis po kunsensya ko, sir. Wala po kaming ginawang kasalanan, sir. Taas noo po kaming haharap sa kanila kahit kanino po," said Landrito.

The three have been disarmed, ordered relieved from their posts and restricted to camp while an investigation is being conducted.

Caramat vowed that there would be no whitewash in the investigation.

"I will not tolerate any wrongdoings of my men. They are administratively relieved to prevent harassing itong complainant," he said. —KBK, GMA News
