Mild quake hits Davao Oriental


A 5.4-magnitude earthquake hit Davao Oriental late Wednesday evening, according to information posted by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).

The epicenter is 30 kilometers east of Governor Generoso in Davao Oriental, tectonic in origin with a depth of 135 kilometers.

As of posting, Phivolcs also recorded an Intensity III earthquake in Davao CIty .

There are no expected damage but residents are warned that aftershocks are possible. — BAP, GMA News
