57 passengers, 10 crew members rescued in sea mishap off Batangas

At least 57 passengers and 10 crew members were rescued from a vessel that capsized near Calatagan, Batangas, according to a report on Saksi on Friday.

The vessel, M/V Lucky Benjamin, was on its way to Occidental Mindoro when it was hit by big waves until it capsized.

The Philippine Coast Guard is investigating whether there was a discrepancy in the number of passengers listed and those rescued. — BAP/KG, GMA News
