Magnitude 5.2 earthquake hits Eastern Samar — PHIVOLCS


A magnitude 5.2 earthquake struck Eastern Samar at 12:33 p.m. on Friday, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS). 

Tectonic in origin, the center of the quake was located in Guiuan town, it said.

 


The quake was felt at Intensity 2 in Borongan, Eastern Samar.

There were no damage reported but aftershocks were to be expected, PHIVOLCS said. — Jamil Santos/RSJ, GMA News
