Palace condemns GenSan bombing, vows to bring perpetrators to justice

Malacañang on Sunday condemned the bombing attack in General Santos City that left seven people hurt.

"We condemn in the strongest possible terms today's explosion that hit General Santos City which left scores of people injured," presidential spokesperson Harry Roque said.

"We vow to bring the perpetrators of this brazen attack to justice," he said.

None of the victims were in critical condition, security officials said.

Roque said the attack comes at an unfortunate time as the nation is reeling from the effects of Typhoon Ompong, which lashed through northern Luzon on Saturday and left a trail of destruction.

At least 29 people have been reported killed due to Ompong, according to latest government tally.
