Ammunition seized from US Marine at NAIA

A group of US Marines was not able to board their flight at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on Friday after they were held by airport authorities for not declaring the ammunition in the possession of one of them.

A report by dzBB's Luisito Santos on Dobol B sa News TV said 17 magazines and 60 live ammunition were confiscated from one Daniel Barlow.

The magazines and ammunition were discovered by Office of Transportation Security personnel during X-ray screening at the departure area of NAIA Terminal 3.

The American soldiers came from Mindanao and were supposed to board a Delta Airlines flight to Tokyo, Japan, at 9:55 a.m.

Airport authorities were quoted as saying that they had to confiscate the ammunition because they were undeclared.  —KBK, GMA News
