High-powered firearms seized from municipal employee’s house in Sorsogon

Police have seized high-powered firearms from a municipal employee's house in Matnog, Sorsogon.

According to a report on GMA "Balitanghali Weekend" on Sunday, one KG-9 submachine gun, one M-16 rifle, one .45-caliber pistol, and various bullets were recovered from the possession of suspect Leo Castilla Porlage.

Based on the investigation, apart from working as an employee at the municipal hall, Porlage also works as a bus dispatcher and is a member of the sea patrol group "Bantay Dagat."

The suspect did not give any comment.

He will face the charge of violating the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act. — Dona Magsino/BM, GMA News
