One dead, two hurt as ammonia leak hits Pagadian ice plant

A worker died after at an ice plant in Pagadian City because of an ammonia leak.

According to a report on "State of the Nation", the victim was identified as Jelmar Montesa Bulay, 19.

Initial investigation showed that the chemical leak occured at the ice plant of the Ramona Fishing Corp.

Two of his fellow workers were brought to the hospital after they complained of dizziness.

The plant management promised to take care of the costs caused by the incident. 

The leak is being investigated. —NB, GMA News
