Fish kill reported in Pili, Camarines Sur

A fish kill or thousands of dead fish were reported scattered along the coastline of Pili, Camarines Sur, according to a report on Unang Balita.

The residents of Barangay Sagurong in Pili town related that there was a chemical leak from a nearby company.

They noticed a foul odor in the area after the leak occurred.

The residents of nearby villages were also affected by the leak.

The residents are seeking concerned agency or company to address the issue of possible pollution.

The company that residents claim was the source of the chemicals has not yet issued a statement on the issue. — BAP, GMA News
