Sexbomb girl? Back-up dancer nabbed in San Pablo City buy-bust

A dancer was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in San Pablo City, Laguna on Wednesday.

Laguna police provincial director Police Colonel Eleazar Matta identified the suspect as Sheena Joana Roño Uypico, 34.

Authorities said Uypico was a former member of the dance group Sexbomb.

John  Consulta's report on "24 Oras" identified her only as a back-up dancer.

Her sister Melrose Uypico, 32; and Elmer Señoreses, 40, were also arrested in the drug operation

Mata said the suspects were on the PNP's drug watchlist.

Seized from the suspects were six pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sheet containing suspected shabu with an estimated value of P40,000; P1,000 used as buy-bust money; one Oppo mobile phone; one blue Toyota Corolla Sedan, cigarette pack; and another P4,000.

The suspects were brought to Provincial Crime Laboratory Office at Camp Paciano Rizal in Santa Cruz, Laguna for a drug test and laboratory examination.

Criminal complaints are being readied against them.

Sheena Flores de Castro, a former member of the Sexbomb Girls, had to deny on Instagram that she had been arrested in the Philippines for peddling drugs.

Several media outlets (not GMA News Online) used her pictures for stories about Uypico's arrest.

The management of Sexbomb Dancers denied that Uypico was former member of the group.

"We don't know her and she's not a member of the Sexbomb Dancers," the group's management told GMA News Online.  —NB, GMA News
