Two people were killed in a landslide in Davao del Sur following the magnitude 6.3 earthquake that hit parts of Mindanao on Wednesday night, according to Mark Makalalad's report on Dobol B sa News TV, citing a disaster official.
Mark Timbal, spokesperson of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, was quoted as saying that they received report of the fatalities past 1 a.m. on Thursday.
The landslide reportedly took place at a mountainous area in Magsaysay municipality.
Aside from the two fatalities, whose identities and age have yet to be determined, 18 others were hurt in the landslide.
Clearing operation was ongoing as of the time of the report. —KBK, GMA News
