Another top NPA leader in Cotabato arrested —security forces


KIDAPAWAN CITY —Lawmen arrested last Tuesday a woman they believed to be a top leader of the New People's Army operating in the hinterlands of Cotabato.

Joint operatives from the Kidapawan City Police and the Army’s 72nd Infantry Battalion, arrested a certain Mindaley Satentes-Genotiva.

Genotiva, alias "Kumander Karla," was arrested at the Spottswood Methodist Center along the highway in Kidapawan City at past 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Genotiva was arrested on the basis of warrants for arrest issued by Judge Henelinda Molina-Diaz of the Regional Trial Court branch 61 in the city.

Based on the warrants, she is facing five counts of frustrated murder, attempted murder, and murder.

Genotiva is believed a top leader of the NPA's  Front 53, whose operations include Kidapawan City, Magpet, and other hinterland towns in the Arakan Valley Development Complex in North Cotabato.

On September 29, NPA Front 53 Commander "Jazmin" or Rachel Daguman was apprehended inside the public market in San Francisco, Agusan del Sur.   —Malu Cadelina Manar/LBG, GMA News
