Pregnant woman dies in Tulunan after Cotabato earthquake, official says

A 23-year old pregnant woman died after a 6.6-magnitude earthquake hit Tulunan, Cotabato on Tuesday morning, the town vice mayor said.

Interviewed on Dobol B sa News TV, Tulunan vice mayor Maureen Ann Villamor said that the pregnant woman identified as Maricel was killed while she was in Barangay Banayal.

Villamor added that Maricel is not a resident of Tulunan but actually living in Davao City.

She said the information came from members of the Philippine Army. 

The body of the victim was sent to the Sorilla Medical & Maternity Hospital in Tulunan.

Three people were initially reported killed following the magnitude 6.6 earthquake that hit several areas in Mindanao.
