Camarines town residents feed on rats to ease hunger in typhoon aftermath



Communities affected by Typhoon Tisoy face problems not only on their living spaces but on he lack of food and basic commodities as well.

Residents of Milaor, Camarines Sur have resorted to feeding on rats to alleviate their hunger, according to a report by Chino Gaston on 24 Oras on Friday.

However, they said that the rats were clean as they came from the rice fields.

Meanwhile, residents of Quezon province have joined hands to erect posts that were toppled by the typhoon in an effort to restore the electricity supply in their area.

Posts in Camalig, Albay were also fixed while broken ones were replaced. There are also a number of posts as well as houses and boats in need of fixing in Burias Island in Masbate.

Residents of Boac, Marinduque, meanwhile, dry their items.
