The fatality was identified as Zenaida Ortilla, 72, from Talisay, Batangas.
Ortilla's family evacuated from Talisay, a town by the shores of Taal Lake, last week after the volcano spewed smoke and ash.
Zenaida was already bedridden that time.
Her family is asking authorities for permission to bury her remains in Talisay.
The town of Talisay remains under lockdown due to the threat from the volcano.
On Saturday, an evacuee from San Nicolas, which is also under lockdown, suffered a sudden cardiac death at an evacuation center in San Pascual, Batangas. —KG, GMA News
