P800K worth of marijuana destroyed in Benguet – police

Benguet authorities on Monday destroyed some P800,000 worth of marijuana in Sablan town.

According to Police Brigadier General R'Win Pagkalinawan, the acting regional director of the Cordillera Police Regional Office, the marijuana was set fire to at 12:10 p.m. in a communal forest in Sitio Taleb, Barangay Banangan.

Pagkalinawan said no one was arrested during the operation.

Security forces continued to search for areas being used as marijuana plantation sites. — DVM, GMA News
