Zamboanga City records 8th COVID-19 case after soldier tests positive

Zamboanga City had its eighth coronavirus diseases 2019 (COVID-19) case after the Western Mindanao Command confirmed that a soldier tested positive for the illness, according to a Tuesday report on Unang Balita.

Without any travel history, the 41-year old male servicemen was believed to have been infected after getting exposed to an infected patient, according to the city government's Task Force COVID.

The soldier was confined at the Zamboanga Medical Center and was in stable condition.
