Sta. Rosa, Laguna residents caught in cockfighting derby

Several residents of a barangay in Santa Rosa, Laguna were caught holding a cockfighting derby amid the enhanced community quarantine due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) threat.

According to John Consulta's exclusive report on 24 Oras, the residents from Barangay Aplaya were caught on surveillance camera conducting tupada.

Personnel of the Santa Rosa Police later arrived and arrested the residents.

"Hoy, may pulis, may pulis! Takbo na kayo," they were recorded saying.

The roosters were confiscated, while all present at the cockfighting activity were arrested. -Joahna Lei Casilao/MDM, GMA News
