Cebu City considering extending community quarantine to May 30

The mayor of Cebu on Wednesday said he was considering extending the enhanced community quarantine in the city until May 30.

The community quarantine in Cebu is scheduled to end on April 28.

“We might extend from the 28th. Maybe two more weeks, maybe May 15. No, maybe about May 30—one month,” Labella said.

Labella also announced update on the number of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases in the city:

• Cebu City Jail - 123
• Barangay Labangon - 9
• Barangay Luz - 3
• Barangay T. Padilla - 1
• Barangay Kasambagan - 1
• Barangay Inayawan - 1
• Cebu City Health Office – 1

According to Labella, Barangay Labangon was placed under lockdown due to the number of COVID-19 cases in the area. -Joviland Rita/NB, GMA News
