Cebu City reports 29 new COVID-19 cases

Cebu City reported 29 new cases of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), bringing the city’s total infection to 1,417, its city health department announced Thursday.

In a Facebook post, the Cebu City Public Information Office said the additional cases were the result of the massive testing in the city.

Thirteen of the new cases came from Barangay Tejero, 11 from Barangay Mambaling, two each from Barangay Suba and Barangay Lahug and one in Ponce Capitol Site.

Mayor Edgar Labella said asymptomatic patients will be transferred to their respective barangay isolation centers.

COVID-19 has infected a total of 10,343 nationwide. 685 of whom have died, while 1,618 have recovered. -NB, GMA News
