Quezon province records no new COVID-19 cases in last five days

For five days in a row, Quezon province in southern Luzon has not chalked up a single new COVID-19 case.

Positive cases has stood at 72, while the number of those who recovered was at 33 as of Saturday, based on local government tally. There are seven deaths.

Local authorities have said residents of Quezon welcomed Department of the Interior and Local Government Secretary Eduardo Año's announcement that the province is among the areas to be placed under a more relaxed general community quarantine (GCQ) from the present enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).

Relief operations, under the leadership of Governor Danilo Suarez, have continued, with provincial government employees untiringly repacking and distributing relief items to residents. —LBG, GMA News
