Batangas reports 5 new COVID-19 recoveries

Five more individuals have recovered from the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in Batangas, bringing the total to 79, the Batangas Provincial Information Office (PIO) announced Tuesday.

According to the PIO, 26 are from Lipa City, 16 are from Batangas City, eight are from Tanauan City, six are from Nasugbu, five are from Bauan, three are from Alitagtag, two are from Sto. Tomas City and San Juan.

Lemery, Lobo, Lian, Padre Garcia, San Pascual, Cuenca, Calaca, San Jose, Mataas na Kahoy, Mabini, and Malvar have one recovery each.

The Batangas PIO also reported that the tally of cases in the province climbed to 150 with five new infections.

Meanwhile, fatalities were recorded at 20.

The Philippines has reported a total of 12,942 COVID-19 cases with 2,843 recoveries and 837 fatalities. -MDM, GMA News
