Delivery app rider yields P1-M shabu in Calamba

Operatives from the Calamba City Police arrested a delivery application rider in Laguna for allegedly delivering illegal drugs.

According to John Consulta’s report on “24 Oras” on Thursday, authorities identified the suspect as Wilson Toledo Jr.

Authorities said 158 grams of shabu worth over P1 million and a caliber .45 were seized during the buy-bust operation.

Authorities also confiscated the suspect’s motorcycle and his company ID.

“Dahil sa quarantine, mas dumami ang paggamit ng motorcycle delivery app. Sinamantala ito ng mga drug group para maging cover sa paghatid ng droga nila,” Laguna Police Provincial Office director Police Colonel Serafin Petalio II said.

“Maghihigpit kami sa pagmo-monitor ng mga delivery service para mabawasan ang paggamit nito sa droga,” he added.
