Palawan LGU waiting for gov’t signal if tourism will be opened already

The local government of Palawan is still waiting for instructions from the national government in re-opening the province's tourist spots amid the health crisis, its governor said on Thursday.

At the Laging Handa press briefing, Governor Jose Alvarez said Palawan is ready if ever the national government allows them to accept local tourists.

Nakahanda kami diyan ngunit in our anxiousness to open our doors to domestic tourists muna, eh dapat 'yung ating preparation, hindi lang minimal," he added.

Alvarez, however, said foreign tourists would not be allowed yet if ever tourist destinations will resume operations. — Anna Felicia Bajo/RSJ, GMA News
