Meanwhile, the OVP’s Dorm 1 in Cebu City is located Barangay Banilad near the North General Hospital.

The dormitory is open on a first come, first serve basis to health workers, medical practitioners, and other frontline workers.

In her weekly radio show, Robredo said the OVP will soon open up more dormitories and may also extend its services to the cities of Talisay, Mandaue, and Lapu-Lapu.

“Siguro middle of this week na dadating. Magbubukas na rin iyong dormitories natin. Mga dalawa hanggang tatlong dormitories lang muna. Ina-arrange lang,” she said.

“Nagpapasalamat po kami kasi iyong operations natin whether sa Cebu, sa Manila, hindi po namin magagawa kung walang private volunteers,” Robredo added.

The vice president also said the OVP has so far catered to over 570 health workers through its services but around 1,700 people are still on its waitlist.
