4 killed in Pigcawayan ambush — police

Four individuals were killed in an ambush incident in Pigcawayan, Cotabato on Friday morning.

Pigcawayan Police chief Police Major Ivan Samoraga told Dobol B sa News TV that the victims were onboard a red Toyota Innova when still unidentified suspects gunned them down.

Samoraga said the incident happened at the national highway of Barangay Tubon around 6:30 a.m.

"Pag-risponde po namin, no signs of life po ang initial assessment ng responding teams kaya po kinordon po namin ang area at nagtawag po kami ng SOCO scene para mag-conduct ng crime scene investigation," Samoraga said.

The police official said the victims have yet to be identified.

He said pursuit operation is ongoing to catch the suspects.
