Flood from Habagat rains hits Iloilo

A downpour on Sunday caused floods in a town of Iloilo province affected by the storm-enhanced Southwest Monsoon prevailing across the country. 

In the videos uploaded by Poblacion Uno, Igbaras, some men can be seen pushing a stranded truck in the middle of the rushing floodwater.

Despite the strong current, some residents could be seen wading on flooded street.

In separate videos uploaded by Jimmy Ealdama Castañeda on Facebook, the still floodwater inside a residential compound in Barangay Uno stands in contrast to the raging flood just outside the compound's walls.

Castañeda told GMA News Online that the intermittent rain started early morning. 

Tropical Storm Enteng that enhanced the monsoon rains affecting the country exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) late Sunday afternoon. —LBG, GMA News
