Chinese national allegedly shot, set fire to by countrymen in Pampanga

A Chinese national was shot to death and his corpse set fire to by fellow Chinese nationals in Angeles City, Pampanga on Saturday, according to Pia Arcangel’s report on “24 Oras Weekend.”

An investigation found that suspects Huang Zhiejie and Yang Lulin were looking to exchange money with victim Leng Li Fu, who ran a money-changer business.

The victim went to the home of one of the suspects, and this was where he was allegedly shot and killed. The victim’s body was put inside a car, and the vehicle was set alight.

CCTV footage recorded the suspects trying to escape.

Huang claimed that it was Yang who shot the victim. However, Yang could not be questioned as he could not speak English.

Police investigators believed that robbery was the motive behind the murder.
