P50 million worth of fake motorcycle spare parts seized in Bulacan

Fake spare parts for motorcycles and other vehicles worth P50 million were uncovered by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) in a warehouse in Bulacan.

According to John Consulta’s report on “24 Oras” on Wednesday, the NBI Intellectual Property Rights Division (IPRD) raided a warehouse in Bocaue as well as stores in Baliuag and Caloocan City.

The warehouse contained multiple boxes of fake bearings, valve seals, and oil filters, among others.

The NBI said it was tipped off by a company that distributes spare parts for motorcycles and vehicles from Japan.

‘Pag merong maaksidente, siyempre puwedeng masaktan ‘yung driver o mga pasahero nito,” he added.

The staff who were present at the stores during the raid refused to comment on the matter.—Julia Mari Ornedo/LDF, GMA News
