Pursuit operations ongoing against 'kidnappers' of man in Zambo Norte

Pursuit operations are ongoing against suspects in the abduction of a resident in Sirawai, Zamboanga Del Norte on Wednesday.

Information from 1st Infantry Division spokesman Captain Clint Antipala on Thursday indicated that a 64-year-old man and his wife were on a motorcycle on their way home to Piacan Village when at least four armed men flagged them down and took the couple with them.

The suspects were wearing camouflage uniforms, the military said.

Police said the man's wife supposedly managed to escape and sought help from local officials in Tapanayan Village.
