Magnitude 5.1 aftershock hits Surigao del Sur

A 5.1-magnitude aftershock struck Bayabas town in Surigao del Sur early Thursday morning, PHIVOLCS reported.

The quake, which had a depth of two kilometers and tectonic in origin, struck at 6:19 a.m.

The agency reported the quake was an aftershock of the 5.7 magnitude temblor that hit the same town on Sept. 21, 2020.

There are no reported damages at this time. However, authorities say that more aftershocks are expected. -- BAP, GMA News
