15-year-old female student among new COVID-19 cases in GenSan

General Santos City recorded 21 new cases of coronavirus disease (COVID-19) on Saturday, including a 15-year-old female student.

The Department of Health-SOCCSKSARGEN said that the student was the youngest among the city's new cases, according to a "24 Oras News Alert."

The female student caught the illness from another confirmed case.

Also included in the new cases were a doctor, a barangay health worker, a bank teller, and a local government employee.

As of October 9, there were 485 confirmed cases in General Santos City, 206 of which were active, 260 had recovered, and 19 had died. — Jamil Santos/DVM, GMA News
