Provinces suffer wrath of Tropical Depression Ofel

Several parts of the country suffered the effects of Tropical Depression Ofel, which maintained its strength as it continued to move westward towards Marinduque and Romblon.

According to Raffy Tima’s report on “24 Oras” on Wednesday, heavy rains caused flooding in Barangay Duljo Fatima in Cebu City.

The flood entered the houses of residents and flooded roads. Some were even stranded inside establishments because of the flood.

In Cotabato and Sultan Kudarat, most of the farmers’ harvest were ruined due to the flood.

Their Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices have yet to determine Ofel’s damage to the agriculture sector.

Meanwhile, an evacuation center in Santa Margarita, Samar was also flooded amid the heavy downpour.

Aside from them, Ormoc, Leyte and several barangays in Camarines Norte also faced the wrath of Ofel.
