Tagaytay tourism picks up after 15-65 year-olds allowed to go out

A significant number of tourists visited Tagaytay City on Saturday after individuals aged 15 to 65 were allowed to go out amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.

According to Katrina Son’s report on “24 Oras Weekend,” among the tourists was 60-year-old Noel Camayo who went to Tagaytay with his wife after hearing the news.

“Bakit ako sisenta anyos, ang lakas-lakas ko. Mas malakas pa ko sa kalabaw,” Tamayo said.

Robert Cruz, another 60-year-old, took the chance to spend time with his family.

Meanwhile, a group of 15-year-olds bicycled to the area. The visit was like their reunion.

However, the sudden increase in tourism caused a traffic jam on the roads to Tagaytay, with traffic backed up to the Santa Rosa Exit.

In Tagaytay itself, traffic was heavy on the roads to tourist areas.
