Bohol gov't reports 2 deaths related to COVID-19


TAGBILARAN CITY -  Two COVID-19 deaths were confirmed in Bohol, along with 25 new cases in a single day.

One of the fatalities is a 45-year-old village tanod from Ubay town who died at Don the Emilio Del Valle Memorial Hospital from Ubay town and Corella town.

The second patient is a 74-year-old man from Corella town who died in a private hospital in Tagbilaran City, according to Dr. Cesar Tomas Lopez, spokesperson of the Bohol Inter-Agency Task Force (BIATF) in a presser Monday afternoon.

They were buried within 12 hours following protocols, Lopez said.

The total death count in Bohol is now 10 and the total case count is 464.

The 25 new cases were 14 residents of Sierra Bullones, one resident in Loay, Tubigon and Ubay towns, three locals stranded in Baclayon, two locals stranded in Loboc town, one each local stranded in Pilar and Loon towns and one authorized person outside residence (APOR) in Panglao. -- BAP, GMA News
