By JOVILAND RITA,GMA News

Sorsogon Province's power supply went out as strong winds from Rolly, now as super typhoon, ripped through the province, toppling electric posts, Governor Chiz Escudero said on Sunday.

Interviewed on Super Radyo dzBB, Escudero said the Sorsogon Electric Cooperative (SORECO) is still conducting inspection on their power lines.

According to Escudero, he already ordered clearing and relief operations in affected areas. However, the towns of Donsol, Pilar, and Castilla are still experiencing winds and rains.

In an 8 a.m. bulletin, state weather PAGASA said the northern portion of Sorsogon (Donsol, Pilar, Castilla, Sorsogon City, Prieto Diaz, Gubat, Barcelona, Juban, Casiguran, Magallanes) is under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 4, while the rest of province was under Signal No. 3. —LBG, GMA News
