Boy in Albay narrates how his elder brother was swept away by flood after he lost grip

After the heavy rains and winds brought by Super Typhoon Rolly over the weekend, destruction greeted the residents of affected areas in the Bicol region as some of them headed back to their homes.

According to Ivan Mayrina’s report on “24 Oras” on Wednesday, a boy from Guinobatan, Albay, became emotional after telling the story of how his elder brother was swept away by the raging flood after he lost grip.

Salvador Ongaria, Dion’s father, meanwhile, could not find the words for the fate that befell the family as they lost everything he worked hard for.

More than 300 houses were destroyed after the onslaught of Rolly in Guinobatan.
