3 buried after warehouse wall collapses in Dasmariñas, Cavite

Authorities are still looking for three people who were buried under the collapsed wall of a warehouse Dasmariñas, Cavite on Thursday amid rains brought by Typhoon Ulysses.

Interviewed on GMA News TV’s “QRT,” Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla said rescue operations are ongoing for the three victims.

“Under construction pa kasi. Parang gumuho ‘yung isang parte ng foundation at bumagsak ‘yung pader,” he said.

Meanwhile, Remulla reported that around 95 percent of floods in the province have subsided.

Majority of Caviteños who were evacuated have also been allowed to return to their homes, he added.

PAGASA earlier said moderate to heavy rains will persist over Cavite and several other areas until Thursday night due to Ulysses.

The typhoon was forecast to exit the country on Friday morning. — Julia Mari Ornedo/BM, GMA News
