Due to Rolly and Ulysses, a total of 9,125 individuals were affected which accounts for 21.22% of the 43,000 projected population of the municipality.

The declaration of the state of calamity will give an access to the 30% quick response of the municipal disaster risk reduction and management fund and will enable other government and private agencies to endow assistance to the municipality of Real.

National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) executive director Ricardo Jalad earlier said about 401,800 individuals have been evacuated due to Ulysses.

Ulysses, the eighth weather disturbance to hit the country in the past two months, struck areas still reeling from Rolly , the most powerful typhoon in the world this year, which killed 25 people and destroyed thousands of homes earlier this month. — Ma. Angelica Garcia/RSJ, GMA News
