According to the BOC, the parcel arrived in Pasay City from California. It was declared to contain musical instruments and was consigned to a "Dimitria Escalona" in Batangas.

X-ray scanning and a physical examination revealed that the parcel contained two vacuum-sealed transparent plastics with 500 grams of dried leaves which were identified as kush or high-grade marijuana.

The suspects will face charges of violation of Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and Section 1401 of the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act. —KG, GMA News
