Four men found shot to death in Laguna office

Four men were found shot to death in a Biñan, Laguna graphics design and auto shop early Monday morning.

According to Ivan Mayrina’s “24 Oras” report, the victims were identified as James Anthony Alon Alon, Jason Mangahis, and siblings Custer and Carlo Tanael.

The victims are believed had let in the eight suspects into the office on P. Burgos Street, Barangay San Vicente just before midnight on Sunday.

“May indication po na magkakakilala sila, dahil para makapasok po rito sa gate at that time, about 11:30, alam po nila na hatinggabi na pero pinapasok pa rin po nila,” Biñan police chief Police Lieutenant Colonel Giovanni Martinez said.

“Tapos alam din po no’ng mga suspects natin kung sino ang may hawak ng duplicate key,” he added.

The office had several security cameras but no useful footage could be retrieved by authorities.

“Nawala na ‘yung pinaka-hard drive ng CCTV. Allegedly po, baka nakuha po ng mga suspects natin,” Martinez said.

The victims were shot multiple times, with around 14 shots fired in total.

They were all declared dead on arrival at a hospital.

A witness also recalled hearing an argument before the shooting started.

The office caretaker also reported the discovery of a black bag containing suspected shabu and a weighing scale later in the day.

Meanwhile, authorities said Mangahis was previously involved in a case related to illegal firearms.

In February of 2019, Alon Alon was also arrested for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act but the case was later dismissed.

Police added that he allegedly led the Alon Alon drug group. — Julia Mari Ornedo/DVM, GMA News
